I just started reading Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie.  I’ve never read it before (what!!) and I’m surprised at how much I am enjoying it!

When I was little I loved to watch the old Disney cartoon, but the book is just so much better.

 I’m listening to it as an audio book, and I’ve been playing it in the car on my way home from classes in Boston.  I’ll admit that it took me a few chapters to get “hooked” (ha!) but now I find myself excited to hear what happens next.  It’s a really amazing story – pirates, fairies, mermaids, lost boys, tree homes, adventure, flying.  What’s not to love?  If you, like me, have never read Peter Pan, I can tell you it is a really fun adventure story.  Plus, if you enjoy it as much as I am, there’s always a whole series about Peter Pan written by Dave Barry.  And we have it in the library!  Check it out!
