*Weekly Minute Update: 114,197 Minutes Read*

Happy Sunday night, Sippican students!  We have two weeks of summer vacation left – can you believe it?  I hope you have lots of great events planned with your families and friends.  I’ll remind you that it is also the perfect time to pick up a good book.

Here’s one I just started, called Escape From Mr. Lemoncello’s Library by Chris ImageGrabenstein.  He’s written a few scary books in the past, but this one is a little different.  This book really caught my eye because it takes place in a library (one of my favorite places!), and it is a mystery about kids who get to spend the night there.  Here’s the problem – in the morning, they can’t get out!  Help them to solve the mystery and escape.

If you like it, try From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E.L. Konigsburg or Who Stole the Wizard of Oz by Avi.

Finally, we have now read for 114,197 minutes in our summer reading challenge.  Make sure you log your minutes on the Scholastic website.  Use the link at the top of the website.
