This week was so awesome in Library! Each class had a chance to spend an hour seeing what it is like to create new apps using Java Script in Bitsbox, control the characters in The Foos, and program a robot in Lightbot. A good time was had by all, and we learned how rewarding it can be to push through something that is difficult! Check out the video above to see some highlights from the week. Keep up the coding! The links that you used in Library will work from home, too!
Each class that visited the library today participated in the Hour of Code! I think everyone would agree with me that it was GREAT. Fifth grade used Bitsbox, third grade had a blast with Lightbot, and grade two and Kindergarten got a taste of coding with the Foos. It was exciting to see students working together, problem solving, and writing simple code!
Wouldn’t it be neat to design the lights for the holiday trees in front of the White House? That’s exactly what these girls have done! Congratulations to all of the students who have entered designs so far. Want to try it? Visit Made With Code for more information.
