Piper and Emma recommend Judy Moody Goes to College!
Guest Blog: Critics Corner!
Our names are Piper and Emma and we’d like to tell you about a great book we’ve just read called Judy Moody Goes toCollege by Megan McDonald. On Judy Moody’s second week of school, she realizes she has a substitute teacher, because Mr. Todd, her teacher was on vacation. Then her substitute said she needed a tutor. She was not happy about it. Her parents got her a tutor. Her tutor was a college student. Her dad drove her to the college the next day. Will she like her tutor? Read this book to find out! You can find this book in our school library and the Elizabeth Taber Library.
Ms. McKeen’s class uses iPads to photograph their favorite Chris Van Allsburg illustrations!
Last week, third grade students in Ms. McKeen’s class got to use the new iPad cart during our trimester library class. We’ve talked about Chris Van Allsburg a lot, and read many of his books together. We’ve learned so much about his work and plan to share our thoughts in a slideshow. During our library class we talked about how we can be responsible and respectful with the iPads. Then, the class used the iPads to photograph favorite pictures from the stories.
This coming week, each group will record some fun facts to share with viewers. We hope to share the finished product with the whole school at an All School Meeting. Wait until you see what we’ve learned!
